James Meek

James Meek has gained international acclaim as a novelist, journalist and short story writer. Born in London in 1962, Meek grew up in Dundee, Scotland. He served as a reporter in Russia and the Ukraine from 1991-1999 before returning to London. In 2004, Meek gathered an array of awards for his reports on Iraq and Guantánamo.
James Meek has published two collections of short stories: Last Orders and The Museum of Doubt, and three novels: Drivetime, McFarlane Boils the Sea and The People’s Act of Love, set in Siberia during the Russian Civil War.
